With over 20 years of experience managing multi-billion dollar portfolios for global institutions, Matt Zumbach founded Divergent Path Capital to bring institutional-grade investment strategies to individuals and families. Matt’s career is defined by a rigorous, disciplined approach to wealth management—one rooted in the same sophisticated analysis used by the world’s largest pensions and foundations.
From Institutional Leadership to Private Advocacy
Before founding Divergent Path Capital, Matt held senior leadership roles at Northern Trust, Alight Solutions, and Aon. In these capacities, he oversaw complex portfolios across both public and private markets, ensuring the financial stability of major corporations and organizations. Currently, he serves as President & Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of the Baylor Oral Health Foundation

A lifelong learner and disciplined competitor, Matt brings the same focus required of a private pilot and competitive triathlete to his wealth management practice. When he isn’t analyzing markets or training for his next race, he is a dedicated husband and father living in Dallas, TX.
